CLG Naomh Adhamhnáin/St. Eunan’s GAA

St. Eunan’s Senior Hurlers were crowned Senior League Hurling Champions at the weekend with a 2-point win over Buncrana. Manager Eugene Organ led his team to this Senior title in his first year in charge. This followed 7 games unbeaten for the Black and Amber including this hard-fought win over Buncrana and left the Scarvey with a score line of 0-15 to 0-17. Well done to all involved.

The Brian Mc Cormick Sports All-County League continued Wednesday evening as both Senior A and Senior B teams travelled to face Ardara. The Senior A team had a great victory with a score line of 0-4 to 2-12. The Reserve/Division 1B had a great win also with a score line of 1-06 to 2-17. Well done to both teams and management.

The Division 4 team welcomed to Na Rossa to O’Donnell Park. Na Rossa left as winners with a score line of 0-17 to 3-14. Hard luck to all involved.

Well done to the U15 boys’ team who defeated LK Gaels this week. It finished LK Gaels 2-7 to St Euans’s 4-7. Well done to Brendan, Jonathan, Paul, Anthony, and the team.

The Senior Ladies played Convoy on Sunday in O’Donnell Park to make them top of the Senior League with a score line of 1-07 to 1-05. Scorers were Niamh Walsh with 1-02, Shauna Higgins with 0-2, Aisling Nee with 0-2 and Laoise Ryan with 0-1. That’s 5 games unbeaten and top of Senior League. Well done to Alan and all the team.

Hard luck to the U14 girls who were defeated by Aodh Rua at the weekend. They move on to play away in Dungloe this Saturday.

The coaches of the U12 girls’ footballers have always been supporters of girls being involved in multiple sports and indeed there are many who excel at camogie, soccer, basketball, swimming and more. This weekend we had 6 girls who represented Olympian AC and LAC juveniles at the Ulster athletics championships that took place in Derry. All 6 came home with medals and 3 were crowned Ulster champions. Grace McG Bronze U12 Shot putt; Ava H Bronze U12 Turbo Javelin, Erin McM Silver U13 Shot Putt; Maeve McG Gold U11 Turbo Javelin; Aoife McG Gold U13 Javelin; Maeve D Silver U13 60m Hurldes & Gold U13 80m sprint. Plenty of transferrable skills of Running/Jumping/Throwing to the fore. We wish the girls all the best in their All-Ireland championships in Tullamore in August.

The Century Complex Sunday Morning Academy continues to take place each week for 4–10-year-olds at 11am. The hurling and camogie academy is on every Friday evening 6.30 to 7.30. New players always welcome from u5’s to u13’s. Helmets & Hurls provided. Camogie training will take place for U12/13 on Tuesday 6pm and Friday 6.30, U14 is on Monday at 7pm and U16/Minor/Senior takes place on Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. All new players are welcome to join.
