The Seniors and Reserves travelled to Cloughaneely on Saturday evening and both teams came away with good wins. Both teams make the short journey to Glenswilly this Sunday for their penultimate League games, Reserves throw-in at 1:30pm with the Seniors at 3pm.
The Senior Ladies travelled to Buncrana for their Intermediate Championship semi-final, but the young team never got going on the day and were beaten.
The Senior Hurlers travelled to the St. Jude’s 7-a-side tournament for the first time on Saturday and were eventually beaten by Galway’s Skehana in the Shield q-final. They are also awaiting a fixture for their Táin League semi-final.
The Junior men’s Championship match v Glenswilly was postponed due to the Donegal Masters game with Dublin on Saturday, with that game needing a replay this week, it remains to be seen if the refixed game will go ahead as planned this Saturday at 7pm.
The Minor Boy’s Football Div. 1 Championship quarter-finals go ahead this Wednesday evening with our lads meeting N. Conaill in Glenfin at 7:15pm. The winners of that game will meet either Four Masters or Gaoth Dobhair in the semi-final. The Dev. team travel to Convoy this Monday night (20th) for a NRB League game. We are also hosting the Minor Div. 2 q-final on Wednesday between Termon and Kilcar at 7:15pm.
The Minor Camógs will meet Carndonagh in the Championship Final provisionally set for next Monday night, August 27th with venue tbc.
The Minor Girls Footballers have received their Championship group draw. They have been drawn with Aodh Ruadh, BS and neighbours Termon with the top 2 going to the semi-finals. The girls are away to Aodh Ruadh on Saturday, September 8th and at home to Termon on Saturday, October 6th.
The U16 Girls Footballers will meet Termon this Sunday (26th) in their Championship Final with time and venue tbc, keep an eye on social media / e-mail for news.
The U16 Camógs take on Carndonagh at home in their Championship semi-final this Monday night (20th).
The U16 Hurlers suffered their first defeat of the season away to Setanta on Thursday evening and they have no game scheduled this week.
The U14 Boys Football Championship continued on Friday night. The U14’s were beaten away to Carndonagh and they travel to Malin this Friday evening. The Dev. team (U13’s) had a great comeback win over the Gaels to get over the line by a single point 4-09 to 4-08, they are at home to Downings this Friday in their final group game. Best wishes to Declan O’Donnell and family who are heading to the USA this week for work.
The U12 Hurlers finished their League section with a 100% record after they defeated Setanta on Thursday evening, they will play MacCumhaills in the Final this Thursday in O’Donnell Park, time tbc.
The U11 footballers host Fanad Gaels this Monday evening in their first set of games that will take place every two weeks along with the U9’s.
Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others continues on Wednesday nights a and new players always welcome.
Best of luck to Kaneshia McKinney, Ciara Grant and the Donegal Senior Ladies against Cork next weekend in the All-Ireland Senior Football semi-final.
