CLG Naomh Adhamhnáin/St. Eunan’s GAA
The Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure Senior Football Championship continued at the weekend with the quarter final stage. The Senior A team travelled to Mac Cumhaill Park to face St. Nauls. The men came away as winners with a score line of 2-12 to 2-05. Shane O Donnell earned himself a Man of the Match mention as he scored 1- 02. Kieran Tobin scored the other goal. Well done to Rory and all the team. They are now drawn against St Michaels in the semi-final stage of the competition which will be held this Saturday in Ballybofey. The Senior B team played huge favourites, Naomh Conaill, on Saturday and came away with a 1-point victory. They will now face on Gaoth Dobhair on Saturday in Ballybofey. Well done to Conor and the whole team. Ádh mór oraibh.
Well done to Conor Parke and Darragh Mulgrew who made the Democrat team of the week after their performance against Realt na Mara. Honourable mention also to Peter McEniff. Maith sibh.
A massive well done to our Senior Ladies team who became County Intermediate Champions on Sunday. They played Fanad Gaels in Milford. Well done to Alan O’Connell and his backroom team of Kevin, Donnan, Caitríona, and also Catherine and Orla and the whole ladies’ squad on this huge victory. The final score was 3-10 to 1-09. Goals by Laoise Ryan and 2 from Claire Doherty. Claire earned Player of the Match award. Maith sibh. They now travel to face Steelstown in the Ulster Intermediate Championship next Sunday. Ádh mór.
Our U 7 and U 9 boys team made the trip to Convoy on Saturday. Thanks to Convoy for hosting and the managers and parents. A great day and some great skills on show. The U 10 boys team played Mac Cumhaills at the weekend in Ballybofey.
The Century Complex Sunday Morning Academy continues to take place each week for 4–10-year-olds at 11am. Camogie training will take place for U12/13 on Tuesday 6pm and Friday 6.30, U14 is on Monday at 7pm and U16/Minor/Senior takes place on Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. All new players are welcome to join. Thanks to all the coaches and helpers each week, it is much appreciated.
