The Brian Mc Cormick Sports All-County League got underway last weekend. Both Senior A and Senior B teams travelled to Machaire Gathlán on Sunday to face Gaoth Dobhair. It was a disappointing day for Rory Kavanagh’s men as they were beaten by a score of 2-8 to 0-5. The Reserve/Division 1B team had a great victory with a score line of 1-9 to 3-9. They will both face Killybegs this weekend in O’Donnell Park. In Round 1 of the Senior Championship, they will face Kilcar at home, followed by Termon in The Burn Road for Round 2. The Division 4 game against Urris was called off. Hard luck to Niall, Shaun and Caolan and the rest of the Donegal team who were beaten by Dublin at the weekend.
The Senior Hurlers welcomed Burt to O’Donnell Park on Friday evening and ended in a draw with a score line of 2-9 to 0-15. Well done to Eugene Organ and his team.
The Senior Ladies travelled to Moville and had a comfortable win with a score line of 9-10 to 5-07. Four minor players made their Senior debut in this game, Aoibheann Randles, Precious Aduka, Sophie McFeely and Hannah Hopkins. Well done to manager, Alan O Connell and all involved. Hard luck to Catherine, Aisling and Shauna and Alan and the rest of the Donegal Ladies and management who were beaten by Cork on Saturday. They play Cavan this Saturday in Breffni Park in the Ulster semi-final.
Camogie training will take place for U12/13 on Tuesday 6pm and Friday 6.30, U14 is on Monday at 7pm and U16/Minor/Senior takes place on Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. All new players are welcome to join.
The Century Complex Sunday Morning Academy continues to take place each week for 4–10-year-olds at 11am. Thanks to everyone who help each week, and everyone is welcome to join.
