28/06/22 Club Notes
CLG Naomh Ádhamhnáin /St Eunan’s GAA
The Senior A & Senior B team played Gaoth Dobhair at the weekend at home. Both teams were beaten, Senior A score line was 1-11 to 2-10 and Senior B was 2-13 to 5-12, hard luck to both teams. They play Naomh Conaill this weekend away.
Well done to everyone who participated in the 24-hour hand pass fundraiser last Friday/Saturday. It was great to see so many of our members taking part. Maith sibh.
There was a great turn out for the Wellbeing Day/Fun Day in O’Donnell Park last Saturday. This was organised by The Dermot Early Youth Leadership programme and there were lots of new and familiar faces. Thanks so much to everyone who organised it and everyone who helped on the day. Pictures are on social media.
The club wishes to pass on its condolences to the family and friends of Fr. Brian Quinn, PP Church of the Irish Martyrs, Aughaninshin, Ballyraine. Fr Brian passed away on Sunday evening in Letterkenny University Hospital. He served in St Eunan’s Cathedral from 1982-1989 and then in Aughaninshin from 1994. He recently celebrated 40 years in the priesthood. He was a huge Donegal GAA supporter and served as County Treasurer in 1999. Ar dheis lámh Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
Everyone at St Eunan’s GAA club is heartbroken with the sad news of the passing of Anthony Mc Grenra. Anthony was a Termon stalwart for many years and gave brilliant service both on and off the field in many different roles. Anthony was a regular at O’Donnell Park on Friday evenings as he took his children to the Hurling Academy. We extend our sympathy to his wife Catherine and children, Ruth, Paul and Neil, to his father Patrick and his brothers and sisters. Rest in peace Anthony.
The Hurling Academy will be on every Friday from 6.30 to 7.30.
The Century Complex Sunday Morning Academy is on each Sunday morning from 10-11. Everyone is welcome and you can register online.
Thanks to everyone who helps and gives their time each week.
Club fixtures are available on social media.
